The Sayings of the Elders (Verba seniorum, Book VII)
That in this life man cannot find rest
In hac vita homo requiem invenire non potest.
This book is not translated in the edition used; the Latin is given alone.
Abbatem Sisoium requisivit frater: Post quantum tempus debet homo a se abscindere passiones?
Abbatem Pimenium interrogavit frater: Quid faciam, quia conturbant me cogitationes sedentem in cella?
